Liz Rogers, Au.D., CCC/A
Doctor of Audiology
Dr. Liz Rogers is a graduate of Indiana University-Bloomington, receiving both her Bachelors and Doctorate degrees from IU. Dr. Rogers completed her audiology externship at the prestigious House Research (formally Ear) Institute in Los Angeles, CA where she focused on pediatrics and cochlear implants. She moved to Lexington in 2012 with her husband and continued her work as a pediatric cochlear implant audiologist at a non-profit organization. In 2014, Dr. Rogers realized there was a need for cochlear implant services in Southeastern Kentucky. At this time, she was able to join the team at Southeast Kentucky Audiology and began providing cochlear implant services to children and adults in the area.
Dr. Rogers is a recipient of the Nick Hipskind Outstanding Audiologist Award and she is the current Treasurer for the Kentucky Academy of Audiology and sits on the Board of Directors for EarVenture. In 2016, the opportunity arose to take on the new role as owner of Southeast Kentucky Audiology. Dr. Rogers was very excited to take on this new role and continue to offer the best in hearing healthcare to Southeastern Kentucky residents.
Dr. Rogers continues to live in Lexington with her husband, daughter, and three dogs. Her pastimes include hiking, yoga, yardwork, and cooking!
Kara Kratzer, Au.D., CCC/A
Doctor of Audiology
Dr. Kara Kratzer joined the Southeast Kentucky Audiology team in May of 2016. Dr. Kratzer received her Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders from Eastern Kentucky University and her Doctorate of Audiology from the University of Louisville. She has experience in diagnostics, cochlear implant services, fitting and dispensing hearing instruments and assistive listening devices, as well as counseling and aural rehabilitation.
Dr. Kratzer is passionate about providing quality, sustainable hearing healthcare in underserved populations. While working on her Doctorate at U of L she completed her Doctoral Capstone project at the Red Bird Mission in Beverly, Kentucky. Her research focused on designing and implementing an aural rehabilitation and audiological training program for the staff at Red Bird. This training was focused on increasing the sustainability of healthcare services in a rural, non-profit setting.
Dr. Kratzer currently lives in Richmond with her husband where they are very involved in their church and local community. Kara’s hobbies include hiking, dance fitness work-outs, and participating in community service projects through her church.
Tonya Muncy, H.I.S.
Hearing Instrument Specialist
Tonya Muncy graduated from South Laurel High School in 1994. After graduation, the opportunity arose for her to attend a Youth With A Mission (YWAM) Discipleship Training School. Tonya studied at YWAM for 3 months and participated in short-term state side missions before moving to Guatemala and El Salvador for her cross-cultural studies and global awareness missions. It was at that time Tonya realized that her interest lie in the medical field.
Tonya worked in the medical field for seven years in a variety of settings before joining Southeast Kentucky Audiology at its inception in 2003. In 2006, Tonya received her Hearing Instrument Specialist License. Since that time, Tonya has specialized in the fitting, dispensing and programming of hearing instruments, and assistive listening devices. She works closely with the Southeast Kentucky Audiology team to determine the best technology and financially sound options for patients.
Tonya currently resides in London, Kentucky with her two sons, Tyler and Ryan. She enjoys hunting, camping, and spending time with friends and family.
Patient Care Coordinator
Kelly North is the Patient Care Coordinator here at Southeast Kentucky Audiology. She joined the staff in April of 2016. Prior to joining the team she worked nearly five years in a variety of departments in a local hospital. Kelly is exceptional at what she does because of her positive attitude and enthusiasm for excellence in customer service. Not only does she keep medical records in order, she makes a very complex schedule work for everyone. She does all of this while also operating a local business with her husband in her spare time.
Kelly has three children and enjoys spending time with family and friends. Her interests include being a dance mom, hiking, music and travel.
Finance and Insurance Coordinator
Angela Farmer joined the Southeast Kentucky Audiology team in March 2015 and is the current Finance and Insurance Coordinator. Having more than 20 years experience in customer service, Angela strongly believes the patients come first. She is exceptionally skilled at helping patients understand and receive the most from their insurance benefits.
Angela is a devout Christian, born and raised in Kentucky. She currently lives in Williamsburg with her daughter and husband and enjoys biking in her spare time.
